One of my favorite ways to observe the seasons is visiting flower fields and gardens: when lilac hedges, rows of peonies, or sunflowers pop up for their time to shine, I feel joyful and a bit more connected to nature. And nothing makes me notice that spring has come more than tulips. My favorite at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival were these wonderful peach and coral lovelies! An early morning walk through the fields when the air is still a bit crisp and hardly anyone else is around is spectacular.
